Dave is a great guide! We had a cold snap the night before our trip so we weren’t sure how we would do. Dave put us right on top of the fish. We had a great day and filled our cooler with whites. Highly recommend Palmetto Guide Services!

BEST EVER WHITE BASS FISHING TRIP W/ A FANTASTIC GUIDE ! If you want to fish Lake Livingston for fast & furious white bass action - you’ve got to book David Cox of Palmetto Guide Service. Within 10 min of leaving the boat launch we were on the fish. He uses modern electronics and GPS to locate structure holding large schools feeding on shad and we limited out in just a few hrs using artificial lures. At one point I had a streak of 10 white bass on 10 consecutive casts ! David is a wonderful guy, very friendly w/ a great sense of humor, and extremely knowledgeable about how to fish Lake Livingston. And he won’t hesitate to move to find better locations if necessary unlike some guides I’ve fished w/ before. If you want an UNBELIEVABLE white bass fishing experience on Lake Livingston - he’s the one to call !

It was a very fun experience Dave the guide was very nice and funny and knew all the good spots. He provides the rods and reels and has something called the double trouble that catches two fish at once overall super fun experience.

My dad took my brother and I out. Dave is an amazing host and made it so much fun for us. We ended up catching almost our limit on fish.

Fished with David for the first time today and have nothing but good things to say. We caught more catfish than we even knew what to do with. He knew exactly where to go. Was friendly and funny. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to go out and catch some fish for a fish fry!!

He is the only guide I would ever recommend! This guide service is very professional and has the knowledge needed to continually succeed when fishing and/or hunting the Trinity River basin. I only gave 5 stars because that is all they offered for the rating scale. Definitely a 10 star guide service!!

My dad and I booked a wood duck hunt, and we made out pretty good for a lack of clouds and slightly warmer than optimal weather. Dave put us on the birds and the man definitely knows his stuff. You won’t get this kind of service with your Katie Prairie big box outfitters. We killed birds. We had a good time. Enough said.
